Application for Tracking Devices for Windows Phone OS

This application deals with recording of position about phone devices with help of system GPS. The application is implemented for platform Windows Phone 7.5. The Application allows to create profiles, which are evaluated with recorded positions. The evaluation is made through 2 points with Haversine formula. The theoretical part of thesis deals with technologies and GPS system, the practical part deals with design and implementation.

Research of Localization Algorithms in Wireless Sensor Networks

This diploma thesis is focused on research of localization algorithms. Each developed localization algorithms are generally application specific. Because of application requirements diversity, many variants of localization algorithms exist. In case of finding appropriate localization algorithm for concrete application usability, existence of real condition simulation environment is useful. Development of this simulation environment was made simultaneously with both localization algorithms. At first, survey of available localization technic was performed and their summary was listed. Further work was aimed on research of two localization algorithms. Both of them use triangulation mechanism to determine unknown node position. This mechanism is based on measurement of distance to three reference points with known position. It would seem that both algorithms are similar, but simulation shows their difference and presents their suitability for diverse conditions.

Benefits of volunteering from the perspective of teenagers in a membership organisation: a qualitative study

This thesis explores teenage volunteering and examines the benefits of volunteering and factors affecting teenage volunteering. The thesis aims to explore the topic of formal teenage volunteering, focusing primarily on the perceived benefits of volunteering, the lived experience of volunteering and the factors that influence volunteering. The theoretical part of the thesis provides a insight into the topic of youth volunteering, discusses the specification of a teeanger and a member of Generation Z, and reviews motivations the motivations for volunteering and the personal and social benefits of youth volunteering. The empirical part of the thesis consists of focus group analysis, in-depth semi-structured interviews with teenage volunteers of the Hnutí Brontosaurus and documents of the membership organisation. By exploring this phenomenon and conducting my own research, I would like to contribute to the promotion of long-term volunteering and a positive lifestyle as a teen volunteer.

Irish Political Parties and its Political Positions on EU

The thesis entitled Irish political parties and the evolution of their positions towards the EU deals with an overlooked issue in our context, which is related to the attitude of political parties in Ireland and their relationship with the EU, and the author has defined the period of her analysis as 2002-2020. The first part of the thesis introduces the theoretical concept of Euroscepticism through the most influential theoretical contributions of authors such as Paul Taggart, Aleks Szczerbiak, Petr Kopecký, Cas Mudde, and Soren Rishoj. Also, it discusses the degree of Europeanisation of the Irish political system or political parties themselves. The next part of the thesis then discusses the formation of the Irish political and party system, referred to as the so-called two-and-a-half party system with two dominant political parties, Fianna Fáil and Fine Gael, and analyses the other political actors. The thesis is a longitudinal analysis building on data collected from the Comparative Manifesto Project, Chapel Hill Expert Survey. The author has supplemented this data with her 2020 election dataset and presents it in detail in the methodology section. Adversative discourse connectives "however" and "instead" in academic texts

The present study aims at discussing two connectives however and instead in academic texts. As the conjuncts are known to be rather free in their position, this study analyzes the interconnection of the possible position and other characteristics of the conjuncts i.e. the punctuation and co-occurrences. This thesis is a corpus based study. The corpus chosen for the analysis is the British National Corpus. The analysis itself is carried out on 100 examples, i.e. 50 examples of sentences containing however and 50 examples of sentences containing instead. The objective of this thesis is to examine the use of however and instead in the academic texts. In other words, it describes the usage of the two connectives as well as the possible tendencies that can be observed i.e. punctuation, co-occurrences. Individual sections of the analysis are based on the position of the conjuncts. Therefore a significant part of the analysis is dedicated to determining the position of the conjuncts based on the previously established position formulas. KSČ and political development in the district of Teplice-Šanov between 1945 and 1948

In the bachelor thesis I focus on the study of activities of KSČ in the district of Teplice-Šanov in period between years 1945 and 1948. The basis of my work comprise study of sources and literature. I concentrate my interest particularly on following thematic fields: organizational activity, personnel administration and acting in bodies of local selfgovernment (ONV Teplice- Šanov). Naturally I touch activities of other political parties with whom Communists clashed when they aimed to reach their goals.

Optimization of the role of quality manager in social services of personal assistance

This diploma thesis deals with the role, position and profession development of quality managers in the social service of personal assistance. It describes the emergence of this role in the context of the development of legislation in the Czech Republic and its changes after the entry into force of Act No. 108/2006 Coll. on social services, which regulates their provision. It reveals the importance of the quality manager's role in the personal assistance service from the point of view of its directors, social and management staff and quality managers, in context with the requirements for its fulfilment. Based on interviews with participants, the research identifies the role of the quality manager as a "quality teacher", a "motivator" and a "protector". The author also briefly deals with the stories of quality managers and their experience from methodological practice. Furthermore, the research shows the possibilities of grasping the quality manager's position in the organization, the preconditions for its fulfilment and aspects of the organization's culture, which have an influence on the fulfilment on the role of quality manager.
